As many of you know, this year's Art on Main event was canceled due to Hurricane Helene, adding to the hardships our community is facing. As the new Director of the Arts Council of Henderson County, I want to acknowledge the frustration and disappointment many of you feel regarding the inability to issue refunds. I also want to emphasize our commitment to helping you through this.
Why We Can’t Issue Refunds
Art on Main is a major funding source for our year-round operations. The booth fees collected cover essential non-recoverable expenses such as permits, promotions, and equipment rentals, all of which were paid prior to the event.
What We’re Doing to Help
We’re actively exploring ways to support our artists. This includes pursuing additional funding and identifying resources to help alleviate the financial burden.
