Mentors and Students Art Show

​The Mentors and Students Art Show is a unique exhibition that brings together the artistic talents of young students and the guidance of dedicated mentors. Through this program, students in Henderson County have the opportunity to showcase their work in prominent locations, learn professional art presentation techniques, and grow in a supportive, creative community. The show celebrates artistic achievement with various awards for creativity, technical skill, and artistic impact, recognizing both students and mentors for their dedication and growth. Join us in celebrating the next generation of artists and their inspiring mentors!

Student Awards
The Mentors and Students Art Show celebrates the creativity, skill, and dedication of young artists through a variety of student awards. Each award recognizes specific aspects of artistic achievement, from vibrant use of color to innovative ideas and technical excellence.
Elementary School Awards
  • Young Artist Award
    This award highlights exceptional creativity and potential in young artists, recognizing those who show significant promise and a unique artistic vision.
  • Color Explosion Award
    Honoring the dynamic and bold use of color, this award is given to students whose vibrant color choices enhance the overall impact of their artwork.
  • Imagination Unleashed Award
    This award celebrates originality and out-of-the-box thinking, rewarding artwork that demonstrates exceptional creativity and imaginative concepts.
Middle School and High School Awards
  • Creativity Award
    Given to students who push boundaries with innovative materials and unique concepts, this award honors the most creative and original artwork.
  • Technical Excellence Award
    This award recognizes superior craftsmanship and attention to detail, rewarding students who demonstrate precision and mastery of their medium.
  • Artistic Impact Award
    This award is for students whose artwork delivers a powerful emotional or conceptual impact, whether by evoking strong emotions or addressing important social or environmental issues.
Each of these awards serves to inspire young artists, rewarding their growth and encouraging their continued artistic journey.

2025 Mentors and Student Show Information

For the 2025 Mentors and Student Show, the Show will take place in three locations and student Art Work will be "juried" to move to the next location.
